Mission
LAM is an exclusive membership-based community reaching over 3,700 educated Latino professionals. LAM’s mission is to unite educated Latino professionals via Latin American upscale events through professional development seminars, networking mixers, dinners, parties and other events in partnership with National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMA), Latino Business Professionals (LBP), Society of Hispanic and Professional Engineers (SHPE) and others. In the past 3 years LAM has organized over 100 events providing the Latino community in the Bay Area with opportunities to expand their networks and to create a stronger more engaging Latino community. We hope to expand this mission to other parts of the country and the world.
Who we are?
We are Latinos born in Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, USA, and all the other Latin American countries. We are Indians, Europeans, Africans, Australians, Middle Eastern, and all others, who love the Latin American culture. We are educators, students, doctors, lawyers, engineers, community activists who have a passion for life and ambition to make a difference.
To maintain the quality of our events and maintain two degrees of freedom between our members, our membership is closed to the public. Membership is free but you must be invited by a member to join.
What members are saying:
“People should join LAM because this group brings together the greatest selection of the most educated, fun and friendly Latino people in the bay area. Anyone can argue that LAM events are such a success that no one can say “”NO”” to attending to any of their social gatherings. Definitely, LAM is the greatest group of its kind!”
“Because it’s not a network but a family. Because it makes me feel closer to my roots. Because it shortens the emotional distance to my hometown and the culture that raised me.”
“For the dances : salsa, bachata, merengue. For the atmosphere, everybody shares the flavor of the music.”
